Talk about a confusing draft trade to dissect.
With the No. 13 pick in first-round, the Charlotte Hornets selected Memphis center Jalen Duren before trading Duren to the Detroit Pistons in a three-team deal, reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Hornets acquired a 2025 future first-round pick via the Bucks from the Pistons while the Pistons also acquired veteran guard Kemba Walker from the New York Knicks.
The Pistons are sending the Hornets the 2025 first-round pick via Milwaukee in the Duren trade, sources tell ESPN. Detroit got that pick from Portland in the Jerami Grant deal yesterday.

Once the initial announcement of the trade was announced, the details of who the Hornets were selecting Duran for was hard to decipher as both the Knicks and Pistons were listed on the other end of the deal to acquire the Memphis center.
The Hornets followed up their trade of No. 13 with drafting Duke center Mark Williams.
