There is hope that officials investigating the cause of a recent plane crash in Nepal will be able to gather new information after a key discovery on Monday.
The black box and cockpit voice recorder of the plane have been found ‘in good condition,’ according to a Kathmandu Airport official.
The ATR 72 aircraft, operated by Yeti Airlines, was carrying 72 people when it plummeted from the sky and it is understood that 68 bodies have been reported so far.

The plane was carrying 57 people from Nepal, five from India, four from Russia, two from South Korea, and one person each from Argentina, Ireland, Australia and France.
Searches are continuing this morning for four missing people, while the actual cause of the crash remains unknown at this point.
Footage of the terrifying incident has been circulating on social media across the globe, showing thick black smoke billowing from the crash site as rescue workers and crowds flock to the site of the wreckage.
Confirming the update, Teknath Sitaula, a Kathmandu Airport official, said the black boxes "are in a good condition now. They look good from outside".
The data on the recorders may help investigators determine what caused the plane to crash.
Among those aboard the flight was an Irishman, Ruan Callum Crighton.
According to an earlier report by the Irish Mirror, the Government said it is aware of reports that an Irishman was a passenger on the Yeti Airlines jet.
A spokesman said the Department of Foreign Affairs said: “We are aware of reports of the involvement of an Irish citizen in an airplane crash in Nepal and stand ready to provide consular assistance if requested.”
