Former U.S. President and Republican presidential candidate Trump meets with supporters in West Palm Beach

During her testimony in court, Hope Hicks, former press secretary for President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and later White House communications director, stated that Trump had explicitly denied allegations of an affair with former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Hicks clarified that Trump had informed her that the claims were 'unequivocally untrue'.

Her testimony was in response to an article that referenced her comments on the alleged affair. The article quoted Hicks as saying, 'we have no knowledge of any of this' and dismissing McDougal's assertions as 'totally untrue'.

Hope Hicks testified in court regarding Trump's denial of affair allegations with Karen McDougal.
Hicks clarified her previous statements about having no knowledge of the affair.

While Hicks did not confirm whether Trump instructed her to make those statements, she emphasized that Trump consistently refuted the affair allegations. She also mentioned that she could not recall Trump specifically instructing her to declare, 'We have no knowledge of any of this'.

However, Hicks did recall Trump instructing her to assert that the allegations were 'absolutely, unequivocally untrue'.
