An Ayr-based wedding film company are one of only four videographers in Scotland vying for a top award.
Ultimate Moments Videography, run by Derek and Maureen Sweeney from Doonfoot, have been recognised for going above and beyond to capture the best of couples’ special day as the duo have been nominated for Wedding Film Maker of The Year in the Your Scottish Wedding Awards.
The awards are described as the top trophy in the industry as wedding suppliers can only be nominated by their clients and are based on stellar customer care and service.
Derek said: “We are absolutely delighted and honoured to have been nominated by our clients for these prestigious awards.
“2022 has been our busiest year to date; not only did we have the weddings that were already booked in for the year, but we also helped so many of our clients who had to postpone their wedding from 2020/2021 to this year due to the Covid pandemic.
“It’s been a very difficult time for everyone in the wedding industry and we are delighted to have come through it stronger and wiser.
“We are the only videography company from Ayrshire to have been put forward for these awards, and we are one of only four Scottish companies in the videography category.
“The reviews and feedback we receive from our delighted customers is recognition enough in itself, but to be nationally recognised by this accolade means so much to us.”
Maureen added that Ultimate Moments Videography, who are in their eleventh year of business, were only too happy to help couples with date changes throughout the pandemic.
She said: “Some of our clients had to change their date four to five times, due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and various lockdowns.
“We have a one in four chance of winning and fingers crossed this will be our year.
“We also want to wish all the finalists the very best of luck and it will be great to catch up with everyone and enjoy what will be a great evening no matter the result.”
Winners will be announced at a Gala Final in Glasgow on November 13.
Ultimate Moments Videography are also the only Scottish videography company to be nominated for the 2022 Great Britain Wedding Awards.
