Nottingham Forest fans are divided on their view of Chris Hughton after the former Reds boss landed a new job.
Hughton is now a technical adviser for the Ghana FA and will start work ahead of their World Cup qualifying play-off against Nigeria next month.
The 63-year-old left Forest after the side picked up just one point in their opening seven games of the Championship season.
He will now work for Ghana alongside former Forest midfielder George Boateng after being unemployed since leaving the City Ground.
Here's what fans have had to say following the Hughton news:
Me McMe : Given the way that Cooper has made him look incompetent, I'm not surprised that he's struggled to find work.
1865red : The game's moved on since Chris was successful. Cooper can relate to these young players. Managers like Warnock and Bruce will struggle. Different time and place.
MaxT : Steve is doing an amazing job in making a U-turn and leaving the relegation zone into the play-offs. What a turn around and I hope we really go for it
Tricky123 : Honestly not sure what this man was doing at Forest..! So excited when appointed but that didn't last long I can tell you. He would have taken us down and we would now be below D**by had he stayed! How things have changed...!! Sorry Chris - Great CV but that's about it and all in the past!
Nottingham 4444 : We have had worser managers then Hughton....lots more
Redznec1 : Hughton was the worse manager we have had, he would have taken us down !! so glad Steve Cooper has come in. This Hughton fella should retire and disappear !!!!!
stockyred : We went backwards under Hughton and may not make the play-offs because of the terrible start to the season. But we all move on
Ian Sisson : Can’t understand the love for this bloke,if he was still in charge we would be down by now. Antichrist of attacking football… feel for Ghana.
Gary Towlson : No hard feelings but glad he's not at our club. I can hardly believe he was at Forest this season.
Grant Fellows : He was a nice guy but beyond stubborn, kept playing 4231 with the same tactics teams didn't even need to research us to easily win. Copper same players and for us from relegation certs to promotion contenders, good luck to him and good luck to Ghana .
Wisheyeddove : Come on guys show a bit of class. Chris Hughton kept us in this League. He didn’t become a bad manager just as he came to Forest. He assembled the side we had before the January window. He made sure Garner returned. Why the players didn’t perform for him is almost as big a mystery as where our extra 10,000 supporters have come from? Maybe the two are linked: maybe they both only turn up when we are winning.
RedGaz : Wisheyeddove is right in that CH stabilised the ship when we needed it. The start of this season though was as unfathomable as it was unforgivable especially so in the light of subsequent events. Hope all works out for him
