A man's body has been found outside an isolated rural property, triggering a homicide investigation into the suspicious death.
Emergency services were called to a property at Darkwood, west of Coffs Harbour on the NSW north coast, about 7pm on Thursday after a body was spotted at the scene.
Local police arrived to find the body of a man outside the front of the rural property.
The man was yet to be formally identified but was believed to be aged in his 60s, police said on Friday.
A crime scene has been established and Homicide Squad detectives have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
Police have called for anyone with information about the incident, including dashcam footage or CCTV, to contact investigators.
