police

Last weekend, a tragic incident occurred near Big Sky, Montana, where a man was found dead while camping. The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Dustin Mitchell Kjersem from Belgrade, Montana. Authorities are treating the case as a homicide.

The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office described the incident as a vicious attack and stated that detectives are actively pursuing leads to solve the case. The discovery was made when a caller reported finding a deceased man in a tent along Moose Creek Road, north of Big Sky, on Saturday morning.

Initially, there were concerns that the death might have been caused by a bear attack. However, a Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks agent specializing in bear attacks found no evidence of bear involvement, leading investigators to suspect foul play.
