NASA previews sky-mapping space telescope SPHEREx ahead of launch 

NASA will preview SPHEREx (Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization and Ices Explorer), which will better our understanding the structure of the universe, galaxy evolution, and the origins and abundance of water. SPHEREx will map the millions of stars and galaxies visible from our planet in every direction, "like scanning the inside of a globe."
