Police have issued a warning following a number of break-ins to outbuildings in Wirral.
Officers from the Wirral branch of Merseyside Police said on Wednesday, October 26 they had seen an "increase" in the number of these burglaries in the Oxton area. Police said offenders appear to be targeting pedal cycles and motorbikes overnight.
They urged people to ensure they are securing their property and sheds. Officers added if people have alarms, security lights, or CCTV then to use them as they "act as a deterrent".

In a statement on Facebook, a spokesperson for the force said: We have noticed an increase in shed burglaries in the Oxton area. Offenders appear to be targeting pedal cycles and motorbikes overnight.
"Please ensure you are securing your property and sheds. If you have alarms, security lights, or CCTV please use them as these act as a deterrent."
In a previous statement, Merseyside Police also issued advice on how to keep peoples property safe from thieves. This included keeping keys out of sight and away from letterboxes, checking doors and windows are locked and consider locking items together in peoples sheds or garages.
They said "Please ensure that: Your windows and doors are locked and secured before going out or to bed, and if you have an alarm, use it. Your house and vehicle keys are kept in a safe place out of sight and away from your letterbox, windows or pet-flaps.
"Your garage or outside shed is locked and secured, especially if they connect to your house, please consider locking items to each other or a fixed item within your garage or shed. If you see anyone acting suspiciously in your neighbourhood, call the police on 101 or in emergency - 999."
