Properties in Oxton had an overall average price of £210,095 over the last year, according to Rightmove’s sales information. Most of the sales in the last 12 months were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £218,120.
Flats sold for an average of £127,955, with detached properties fetching £361,912. Overall, sold prices in Oxton over the last year were 15% down on the previous year and 9% up on the 2016 peak of £192,178.
Despite being above the detached home average, the Willan Street home is in the same price range as other similar sized properties within 0.1 mile radius. Rightmove’s market data shows a property listed for £850,000 on Village Road and £785,000 on Columbia Road, sold in 2021. While another Village Road home is under offer after being put on the market for £650,000 and a £575,000 home on Templemore Road also has an offer accepted.
Images on Rightmove show that as well as the family rooms, including a wrap-around integrated kitchen/diner area, there is also a downstairs bar. This area overlooks the garden patio.
The bar and entertainment area is described as the "show-piece" of the ground floor, with plenty of natural light coming in from the orangery roof-light. More light floods in from the glass divide separating the spaces and double doors out onto the outside paved seating area.
The first floor is taken up with the main bedroom, that benefits from access to the private roof-terrace. This area benefits from privacy, as it's not overlooked.
