In contemplating who to vote for in the US election, Arab Americans need to ask themselves a few questions (‘They will vote against Harris’: Arab Americans in Michigan desert Democrats over Gaza, 14 October). To make life easier, I have provided the answers.

Who, when president, moved the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem? Donald Trump. Who absented themselves from Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress? Democrats. Who gave him multiple standing ovations? Republicans. Who is the Republican party’s election candidate ? Trump. Who is responsible for 42,000 Palestinian deaths? Netanyahu. Who in the presidential candidate debate refused to say that they backed an immediate Gaza ceasefire? Trump.

OK, so the Biden administration has been hopeless at constraining Netanyahu, but Trump would be infinitely worse.
