Home Bargains selling '£23 shampoo' plus premium body wash and hand wash for 99p

Home Bargains shoppers have been clearing out "the whole shelf" of designer shampoo, body wash and hand wash at their local stores after spotting what the retailer is hailing as a £23 product for just 99p. A premium brand has been lining the beauty aisles in local stores across the country and fans have been snapping up a bargain.

After the retailer posted about huge savings, it appears that fans of the budget store headed out in their droves to track the products down. Home Bargains, posting on its Instagram account, wrote: "Lumin shampoo, body wash & hand wash only 99p each (RRP £22.99)."

Alongside the post was a picture of a shelf stocked with Lumin Keratin Recovery Shampoo and Clarifying Body Wash. The 'Star Buys' price label on the picture read "Lumin Shampoo Keratin Recovery". Highlighting the price, it said "save £22 compared to RRP". Below this was a large "99p" followed by, in smaller print, "RRP £22.99".

However, shoppers have been complaining that some customers are taking more than they need. One fan said: "People are buying the whole shelf not giving anyone else a chance."

Shoppers were loving the products and the price point. One social media user wrote: "Got some of this stuff! It’s amazing! Shampoo leaves your hair feeling so soft and the body wash is amazing especially if you have dry skin, leaves it feeling silky and smooth, well worth the money!"

Another wrote: "Best ever." Someone else added: "I only got two bottles before I realised that it was so good. It disappeared overnight from my local shop in Hounslow." However, a more local shopper queried the RRP price on the body wash saying: "HB in Loughborough has the body wash in with an RRP at £13.99." The in-store label shown on the post does refer to the shampoo only.

Other shoppers asked "is it for men?" Another on social media confirmed that it was, and a third added: "I brought this, and it left my skin nice and soft even if it is for men."

The product, which comes in plain, text only packing, is marketed online as a men's product. Lumin states on its website: "We sought out the highest quality, most effective ingredients. We travelled countless miles to consult skincare experts in Seoul. We did it all for the greater good of man (and his skin)."

Prices on the Lumin website vary depending upon bottle size and product.
