Home and Bargains and other shops are recalling a number of products due to safety fears.
The Food Standards Agency has issued warnings for Irn Bru, Fray Bentos pies and Kinder chocolate. In some cases, the products are health and safety risk due to the presence of salmonella or pieces of plastic.
When a product is recalled, the Food Standards Agency shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves. Anyone with any of the below items should visit their nearest supermarket for a full refund or exchange.

AG Barr - Irn Bru
Company AG Barr who make soft drink Irn Bru are recalling one of their products on a "precautionary basis" because there have been a small number of reports that the bottle caps "pop off unexpectedly". AG Barr said: "There is a risk that the bottle caps may pop off unexpectedly which may cause injury."

If you have bought any of the above products, open the bottles with care to release the pressure. Bottles should be handled carefully and pointed away from the body at arm’s length when opening. Consumers should then contact AG Barr at consumercare@agbarr.co.uk
Baxters - Fray Bentos
Baxters Food Group Ltd is recalling Fray Bentos Just Chicken Pie because it may contain small pieces of plastic. The possible presence of small pieces of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.

Ferrero is further extending their precautionary action of recalling a selection of Kinder products because they might be contaminated with Salmonella. This product recall is an update to include all best-before dates for the selected Kinder products and replaces earlier versions.
