Dramatic pictures show the moment a Home Bargains lorry became lodged under a bridge. Emergency services attended the scene on Nantgarw Road, Caerphilly at around 4.10pm on Monday, March 28.
Locals shared pictures of the large red lorry warning others to stay clear of the road, which was closed for nearly two hours. One photograph appears to show the front of the lorry's roof detached and crumpled following impact with the bridge. Debris can also be seen on the road below.
Another picture shows the road at a standstill as onlookers watch. The picture also shows emergency services including fire engines at the scene of the incident.

A spokesman for Gwent Police said officers were called at 2.10pm and nobody was reported injured. A spokesman for South Wales Fire and Rescue said firefighters were on scene until 5.41pm.
The spokesman said : "At approximately 4:13pm on Monday, March 28, we received reports of a lorry stuck under a bridge on Nantgarw Road, Caerphilly. Firefighters from Pontypridd, Whitchurch and Ely Stations attended and removed the lorry using Reciprocating Saws and triple X ladders. A stop message was received at approximately 5.41pm."
