Home Bargains has closed a Liverpool city centre store for good.
The budget retailer, which is much loved throughout Merseyside, has made the decision to close its store on Lord Street in Liverpool city centre. The store has already closed its doors.
The closure means that shoppers’ closest Home Bargains stores will be on Hanover Street, inside St Johns Shopping Centre or on Paisley Street near Costco. The Lord Street store is now closed and its windows have been boarded up.

The brand's signs have also been removed from the building. A Home Bargains spokesperson said: "The lease on our Lord Street store has expired recently and when reviewing our business we felt that as we have three other busy stores in this area, that we are serving our city centre customers very well.
"We will always be fiercely committed to serving our loyal customers in our home town and more broadly in Merseyside. We will continue to open new shops in this region, such as our developments at Edge Lane and Kirkby in the last year or so."
