Holywood agency creates 14 jobs to grow US fintech reach

A Holywood marketing and brand agency has created 14 jobs as part of an expansion into the US and Europe.

Origin said the move is part of a £1 million investment which will help it grow its digital marketing services for the financial services, insurance and fintech sectors.

The firm said it has seen a sharp uptick in demand for its services since the Covid-19 pandemic and is focused on growing its presence in fintech, particularly in the US.

Of the total, three of the roles are already in place with recruitment underway across brand, digital market and strategy, Jerry Staple, chief executive officer of Origin, said.

“We’re focused on tapping into the growth of the Fintech sector, particularly in the US, to build on our experience and successes in Northern Ireland with financial services clients such as Danske Bank and AbbeyAutoline,” he said.

Invest NI offered Origin £96,128 of support towards the creation of the jobs.

George McKinney, Director of Technology & Services, Invest NI, welcomed the expansion.

“The Fintech sector has seen remarkable growth over the past few years, and Northern Ireland is now the top global destination for Fintech investment,” he said. “Our support is helping Origin to capitalise on this sector growth by building a team to develop new innovative services that will increase global sales, while our in-market team has helped to open up new opportunities as the company has physically expanded in its prime market.
