HOLLYWOOD actress Saoirse Ronan has married Scottish actor Jack Lowden in a secret ceremony.
The function included just a few friends and family members and was reportedly in Edinburgh city centre last weekend.
The Irish Independent first reported on the nuptials after pinpointing that the Register of Scottish Civil Marriages recorded that Saoirse Una Ronan married Jack Andrew Lowden at the Edinburgh Central Registrar’s Office.
The pair met on the set of Mary Queen of Scots in 2018, where Irish-born Ronan was playing the titular role alongside Lowden as her on-screen husband Lord Darnley.
Oscar-nominated Ronan remains private on social media with little shared online.
Dunkirk star Lowden has been outspoken in his support for Scottish independence, and shared photos from The National’s 2019 Yes rally in George Square.
