HOLLYWOOD superstar Margot Robbie has reportedly bought a house in Aberdeenshire.
The Barbie and Suicide Squad star is rumoured to have purchased a property near Braemar after enjoying a trip to the village last year.
The Australian-born actor reportedly bought a two-storey cottage on the banks of the River Dee, on the outskirts of the village, with her English director husband Tom Ackerley.
It has been reported that last year, Robbie told a special screening of Barbie in Los Angeles that she found herself in a quaint Scottish pub, eavesdropping on a group of men who were in heated debate about the Barbie movie.
The Hollywood star said she couldn’t help but approach the table and thanked the group of guys for seeing the film.
She added it took the group a moment to realise who she was.

Robbie also apparently visited The Fish Shop in Ballater while she spent some time in the village.
According to the Daily Mail the actor has now bought a house in the Deeside village, after speaking with the house’s previous owner, who confirmed selling the cottage last year.
The previous owner now lives on a farm in Suffolk and told the newspaper they could not “divulge the name of the new owner”.
Robbie reportedly has ties with the village as it was rumoured she was invited to the Braemar Gathering in 2024.
She also has a Scottish father, Dougie Robbie, who is a sugarcane tycoon and property developer.
Her husband Ackerley, who Robbie had her first baby with last October, previously said there would be no barrier to them owning a house in the UK.
One “near neighbour” of the house Robbie is reported to have bought told The Daily Mail: “The Fife Arms has spoilt the village. I’ve lived here for 25 years and seen it change in character.
“We’re quite blasé about spotting celebrities as we’re used to seeing the Royals around Braemar, but the nature of the village has changed for the worse in recent years.
“The demographic has changed completely, and it no longer feels like a village for us.
“I know Barbie is moving into the cottage down the road, which is exciting, but I’m not sure how good it will be for the village.
“I heard she’d bought it for ‘thinking time’.
