Hollywood's awards season has been significantly impacted by the ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles area, leading to delays and adjustments in the schedules of major upcoming awards shows.

The Writers Guild of America nominations, initially set for Jan. 8, were postponed indefinitely after being rescheduled to Jan. 13. Similarly, the Producers Guild of America nominations for feature films, originally planned for Jan. 10, were postponed to an unspecified date this week.

The Academy Award nominations, now scheduled for Jan. 23, were delayed twice to accommodate an extended voting deadline due to the wildfires. The nominations will be announced through a virtual presentation.

The Critics Choice Awards, initially set for Jan. 12, will now take place on Jan. 26 and will be broadcast live on E!, hosted by Chelsea Handler.

The Grammy Awards, unaffected by the wildfires due to their earlier nominations announcement, will be broadcast live on CBS on Feb. 2. Some auxiliary events have been canceled to redirect resources to wildfire recovery aid.

The Producers and Directors Guild awards are scheduled for Feb. 8 in Los Angeles, with a track record of aligning with Oscar winners in recent years.

The Writers Guild awards, set for Feb. 15, honor feature film screenplays, documentaries, and television shows in an untelevised event.

The BAFTAs, Britain's equivalent of the Oscars, will air on Feb. 16 with nominations unaffected by the fires. The show will be hosted by David Tennant.

The Spirit Awards, spotlighting films with budgets of $30 million or less, will stream on YouTube on Feb. 22, hosted by Aidy Bryant.

The SAG Awards, scheduled for Feb. 23, will stream live on Netflix and are considered a strong indicator of potential Oscar winners.

The Academy Awards, the culminating event of the season, will proceed as scheduled on March 2 from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The Oscars will be broadcast live on ABC, hosted by Conan O'Brien.
