Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has said he would love to own a home in Ireland.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave on Today FM ahead of the release of his new movie Babylon, Pitt admitted he would’ve mind buying a house here.
When asked if he wanted to buy somewhere in Ireland, he said: "I do love it there. It's just so beautiful that I actually would love to have a spot there."
Pitt was rumoured to have been interested in snapping up Waterford estate, Pouldrew House.
Its former owner Alexander Jan said the astonishingly lavish home was bought by his father, Dr Jan Mohamed, when he first moved to Ireland from Singapore to work in University Hospital Waterford.
The home was built in 1814 and has had many well-known visitors over the years, such as Priscilla Presley, who came to the house on many occasions for acupuncture with her daughter Lisa Marie.
The home was of such grandeur that it is believed Priscilla offered to buy the house as well.
But Pitt denied rumours, saying: ““I wish I had all the properties that they say I’m responsible for.”
The Mr and Mrs Smith star also told how he was a major fan of U2 frontman Bono and recently saw him on his book tour, Surrender, in LA.
He said, " I saw it in LA, It's extraordinary, and I wish it would've gone on for another three hours.
“It's really moving and really joyful and beautifully reflective. You know, it's Bono, there's no other man like him."
