Hollyoaks star teases end of killer Silas in McQueen showdown during stunt week

Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has spilled on looming scenes that could see killer Silas Blissett taken down for once and for all.

Mercedes McQueen and her loved ones will face danger once more, as Silas forces them to play along with his games if they want to stay alive.

With lives on the line, and Mercedes held hostage, it isn't long before more than one family member is tasked with making a life-changing decision.

But speaking exclusively to The Mirror, actress Jennifer has hinted the upcoming stunt scenes could be the moment Mercedes finally brings down Silas.

Teasing some of the McQueens could unite to end his reign of terror, she revealed all on filming the epic scenes.

She told us: "I hope this is the time that Mercedes can take down Silas. She has her sidekick Bobby this time, and I have a feeling someone is going down this time round."

On reuniting with Silas actor Jeff Rawle, she revealed: "It’s amazing filming with Jeff, I love him he’s such a gorgeous, open, charismatic, caring, kind man.

"I love his stories and he’s an amazing actor. I think working alongside him brings out a different level in me, he really challenges me acting wise. It’s a bit more theatrical, his character, Silas, and he does that really well.

"I think I embrace the scenes that I’m in with him and go with it. I try to match his energy so I’m really looking forward to watching the upcoming scenes with him."

Jennifer also teased the stunt, suggesting it could be the soap's biggest and best yet.

She spilled: "I love the way this upcoming stunt was shot. I’ve actually managed to have a sneak preview and it’s really filmic the way it was shot. The size of the stunt, obviously in the past we’ve blown up churches, crashed trains, but the way this particular stunt has been done, and the style, I think, for me, it out-does all other stunts we’ve done in the past.

"I really love that my character is always involved in the best stunts."

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode on E4 at 7pm.
