Hollyoaks star's heartfelt message as he departs after 'crazy' two years

A Hollyoaks star has left a heartfelt message amid his departure from the Channel 4 show.

After almost two years on Hollyoaks, as well as a number of high profile storylines, Tomi Ade has departed from his role as DeMarcus Westwood. In the final episode, Vicky (Anya Lawrence) wanted to make sure how much he knew how much he meant to everyone by turning up to say one last goodbye.

As he prepared to leave the village, DeMarcus' dad Felix also apologised to his son for leaving in the past, admitting that he let DeMarcus down. DeMarcus told his dad: “You were there when it mattered,” before letting him know that he wasn’t leaving the country because of him.

The Hollyoaks team shared a video last night to its 730k followers, showing Tomi Ade thanking fans for ‘all the love and support’ he has received over the past two years. In the video he said: "Hey guys, it’s Tomi Ade here. I’ve played DeMarcus.

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the fans for all your love and support. It’s been an absolute pleasure and a crazy two years and I’ve made friends and family for life and I’m excited to be leaving this place but you know everything comes to an end, thank you guys so much. I appreciate you."

Anya Lawrence, who plays Vicky, rushed to comment on the video leaving a heartfelt message which said: “I’m gonna cry” while former Hollyoaks star Chris Charles also added: “Future is real bright for you brother”.

Hollyoaks fans also wished Tomi messages of good luck. One said: “Sobbed at your exit, you’ve been fab and you’ll be missed! Good luck for whatever you decide to do in the future you’ll smash it!” while another added: “Wishing you all the happiness, luck, love for your future you will be missed in Hollyoaks x”.
