Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey posted an important message while waiting to have her smear test. The Eccles actress, who plays Goldie McQueen in the Channel Four soap, took to Instagram Stories to make a plea.
The 34-year-old star, who earlier this year returned to Waterloo Road as former pupil Janeece Bryant in the rebooted BBC One school drama, shared a video clip as she was seated in the waiting room ahead of her cervical screening. According to the NHS, all people with a cervix aged 25 to 64 should be invited by letter to the test to help prevent cancer. Chelsee wrote: "About to get my smear test ... please don't put it off like I always do it's so important."
In January Chelsee, who has a five-year-old daughter Coco, shared a picture of herself with Adam Thomas who also returned to Waterloo Road to play Donte Charles. "Janeece is back…" she enthused.
