Hollyoaks star Lucy-Jo Hudson left fans having to do a double take as she posed for a smiling selfie alongside her former Coronation Street co-star Tina O'Brien. The actresses recently reunited at the recent British Soap Awards.
The star-studded event, which was filmed in front of a live audience before airing on ITV last Tuesday night (June 5), saw the stars of Coronation Street, Emmerdale, EastEnders, Doctors and Hollyoaks file into The Lowry theatre at Salford Quays as they came together to celebrate the very best of another year in soapland.
And Corrie had a dream night on home turf winning a string of the top gongs. The Manchester-set soap was the biggest winner on the night, scooping six awards. However, they failed to take the biggest gong - for soap of the year - which instead went to BBC's EastEnders.

But once the official ceremony was over the stars were able to indulge and for those like Lucy-Jo, was able to catch up with their former castmates having switched soaps over the years. Taking to Instagram over the weekend to mark a week since the glitzy bash, the 40-year-old, who plays Donna-Marie Quinn in Channel 4's Hollyoaks, shared a series of snaps.
The first showed her beaming alongside Tina, famed for playing Sarah Barlow in ITV's Corrie. The two women looked super glam as they flashed their pearly white teeth towards the camera. Lucy-Jo also shared snaps with a string of her Hollyoaks co-stars and Helen Skelton who presented an award on the night.
"Soap Awards photo dump. I can’t believe this was a week ago already!!! Where does the time go?" Lucy-Jo penned. "I had such a gorgeous night, it was so lovely seeing all my old mates again. Some of these friendships go back 23 years!!!!
"Especially this gorgeous one @tinaob83 love her, she hasn’t changed a bit, she’s still as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and beyond talented. I’ve had the pleasure of working with my gorgeous @jessie.wallace_official on Wild at Heart, she has also not changed! She’s like a fine wine, she just gets better with age.
"My gorgeous friend @niknaksanderson who I’ve worked with in Corrie and Hollyoaks, so proud of her and the work she has being doing (in my eyes she should have won an award this year). The legend, my friend and fellow Yorkshire man @shaun_dooley_ have known eachother for over 20 years! He is one of the finest actors I know and I really hope we finally get the chance to work together in the future."
She went on: "My gorgeous girls @kirststarburst @rubyodonnellx and @niamhblackshaw who I love dearly, they are so fantastic to work with and I will always cherish our new found friendships (again they should have all been up for awards this year… they have worked so unbelievably hard) Also a big shout out to all my other mates at @hollyoaksofficial love you all.
"And this beauty @helenskelton who is such a beautiful soul, and I’m so proud of her and what she’s achieved. Another fellow Yorkshire girl, that I just love dearly."
But it was Lucy-Jo's snap with Tina that got her followers talking as they had to zoom in to discover what the Corrie actress had in her hand - which just happened to be some lipgloss. @emmajmassie88 laughed: "Had to look twice at what Tina was holding." @dextersmummy41 asked: "What is @tinaob83 holding in her hand?"
