Hollyoaks' Jessica Fox has revealed she's given birth after suffering two heartbreaking miscarriages in 2021.
The actress took to her Instagram page to share the exciting news with her fans and offered a brief insight into her life as a new mum just moments after giving birth.
In view of her 205,000 followers, the Nancy Hayton star shared a picture of her baby's foot with his name tag displaying: "Baby Fox," before another snap saw her and her husband Nicholas gazing at their newborn just moments after he was welcomed into the world
She captioned her upload: "Baby River, you have changed our whole world forever and we are so grateful we get to love you," alongside a blue heart.
Her Hollyoaks co-stars instantly flocked to the comment section to share their messages of congratulations, with Gabriel Clark typing: "Amazing news!!! Massive congratulations, so so happy for you!!!"
"Hi River, I can't wait to meet you, congratulations!!! So happy for you all," added Nikki Sanderson alongside a string of blue heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Lucy-Jo Hudson typed: "Ahhhhhh Jess….. yes….. finally….. you get to hold your beautiful baby in your arms!!!! I’m so bloody happy for you! Love the name."
Jessica confirmed she was expecting a child in October last year while sharing the devastating news that she had suffered two babies in 2021.
Taking to Instagram during baby loss awareness week, Jessica said: "Nick and I lost two babies in 2021. Both losses were at the end of the first trimester and completely heartbreaking."
She went on to explain that during her second pregnancy, her character Nancy was also pregnant and people took to social media to speculate after noticing her baby bump.
"And then I lost the baby. On the Friday I had a real bump, on the Monday I was putting on a fake one. It was every bit as horrific as it sounds," Jessica explained.
The star was left devastated after her character was made to give birth, with Jessica bursting into years while filming the situation,e explaining that while her director may have believed her acting, she was actually "broken".
Throughout her pregnancy, Jessica was under close supervision from staff at Liverpool's Women's Hospital which included a "cocktail of drugs" and daily injections to assist her throughout her pregnancy.
Despite her heartache, while sharing her pregnancy news Jessica said: "Out of difficulties, grow miracles. Due Spring 2023."
