Jessamy Stoddart has revealed she's expecting her first child with husband Ryan.
The Hollyoaks actress, 29, shared the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday as she uploaded an image of her growing baby bump alongside a sweet wooden ornament with the words "Our little rainbow due December 2022" engraved on it.
Jessamy, who plays popular character Liberty Savage on the long-running soap, also opened up on her difficult journey with trying to become a parent. She captioned her exciting post: "Baby O'G, you are so loved already.
"Our little rainbow, due December 2022. Getting to this point has been a journey for us - the road to parenthood often is, so to anyone reading this heavy hearted on their own baby journey, I see you and I feel you."
The snap showed the brunette beauty wearing light blue jeans and an open beige shirt as she cradled and showed off her adorable bump. He friends and fans were quick to comment on the post with congratulatory messages.
Among those leaving a reply were a number of fellow Hollyoaks crew, including Jorgie Porter who wrote: "Love this."
Steph Waring also commented, telling her pal: "Congratulations Jess. Such lovely news to hear," while Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes on the Chester-based soap, said: "Beautiful. Congratulations."
Jessamy and hubby Ryan tied the knot in November last year in a winter wonderland wedding after he had proposed to her in December 2020. Taking to Instagram after saying "I Do", the star wrote: "It’s cliche but yesterday was without a doubt the best day of my life.
"So overwhelmed with love & happiness. We are so lucky to have been able to share our day with the most outstanding humans on the planet. The most outstanding of them all is now my bloomin HUSBAND!!!! Let the wedding spam commence…"
She originally joined the cast of Hollyoaks in 2018, taking over the role from Abi Phillips, who starred as Liberty between 2010 and 2013.
Jessamy's time on the soap has been full of dramatic storylines. In one of her most intense plots from last year, her character went missing after overhearing a damning conversation between Summer Ranger and Sienna Blake. Conflicted as to what to do, she confronted her sister who ended up threatening her before her disappearance.
