Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy was involved in a terrifying car crash which left him needing hospital treatment.
The actor, 41, shared pictures on Instagram of his car after the smash, which had been left a wreck, telling followers "Someone was watching over me today [100 per cent emoji]."
In another picture of black car, which had its destroyed engine on show, and it's bonnet mangled, Gary, known for playing Will Fletcher in the soap, wrote: "Gary 9 lives [preying hands emoji]."
He also shared photos of himself in a hospital bed wearing a gown, and then in a brown suit wearing a leg brace on one limb, and using crutches.
The snap at the bottom of the collage, labelled "now", showed Gary apparently resting at home while his dog sleeps on him.
At the top of the collage, he shared a photo of himself on Christmas Day, and labelled a picture of the wreck 10am and then hospital pictures 10am, 11am and 6pm.
Gary is currently dating his Celebs Go Dating co-star and former Love Island finalist Laura Anderson.
They were first spotted cosying up together in September before going from strength to strength after making their romance official a month later.
Speaking in an interview with OK!, Laura has opened up about her relationship with the 41-year-old dad-of-two and admitted she used to watch her partner when he starred in the drama Footballers' Wives in the early 2000s.
She said: "My mum fancies him! And my friends are obsessed. One of them messaged me the other day and she’s like, 'Can you believe we used to watch Footballers' Wives and you’re now dating Gary Lucy, how does that feel?'
"And I’m like, 'up!' I don’t think about it like that. But then I was looking at him on a date and I was like, 'It’s weird that I know your face. You’re like a celebrity.' It’s like you would recognise them anywhere because you’ve just seen them so much."
Laura added: "He makes me feel comfortable and he makes me feel quite adored and protected, which is really nice. He’s a gentleman."
Despite appearing on the E4 programme looking for love with various dates, Laura describes her time with the EastEnders star as "the happiest I've been in a long time".
Gary split from his wife Natasha Gray in 2018 after four years of marriage. He had been single until he met Laura, and wants to make sure he doesn't go back on the dating scene any time soon after his "mad experience" on the programme.
He told The Sun: "I've had an awful experience of dating again, it's a whole new world now and when you're busy, where do you meet people?
"I'm a 40-year-old man now and I think there are a lot of people of my age, older and some younger, that kind of go s***, where do you go from here, where do you meet people?"
"Where do you build a relationship, not meet people for a hook up, that was early 20s or late teens and I had no problems with that back then, I certainly had my cake and ate it."
