Holly Willoughby will finally be returning to This Morning tomorrow after testing negative for Covid.
Her delighted co-star Phillip Schofield announced today that Holly would be back on the show on Wednesday.
Joined by Alison Hammond, he said of Holly: "We're pleased to say that... she's negative and she's back tomorrow."
Alison burst into song as she belted out: "Celebrate good times, come on!"
Laughing, Phil quipped: "See you tomorrow!"
Grinning, Alison said: "Cheers, friend."
As the pair giggled, Phil quipped: "I mean, you were expecting a lot for them to catch up with that."
"I wanted confetti, I wanted the works, you know what I mean?" Alison laughed. "Holly, we're so glad you're coming back!"
It comes after Phil explained yesterday that Holly kept testing positive with the virus and that it was "driving her crazy".
Opening the show today, he said: "Josie is back! I've been texting Holly all through the weekend and she's absolutely fine. She just has that incredibly persistent and annoying red line that won't go away.
"She'll be sitting at home. It's driving her crazy."
Holly was forced to miss the Dancing On Ice semi-final and the whole of last week's This Morning after testing positive for Covid last Sunday.
There are just three celebrities - Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne - left in the skating show, after Connor Ball and Kye White exited the programme in a double elimination.
Holly isn't the first absence on the show due to a positive Covid test.
A few weeks prior, ice skater Vanessa Bauer missed a week performing with Brendan because she had the virus.
Phil also missed a week of presenting because he got Covid, with Stephen Mulhern stepping in at the time.
"I’m very much looking forward to being back hosting alongside my good friend Holly this weekend. It’s big shoes to fill and I’m wishing Phillip a speedy recovery," he said in a statement, "I’m a big fan of Dancing on Ice and for one night only I’m thrilled to be rink side watching the action unfold. It’s going to be unbelievable!"
