Holly Willoughby thanks Dermot O'Leary for 'sweetest' gesture as she recovers from shingles

Phillip Schofield has been joined by Rochelle Humes since Monday, April 17 on ITV1's This Morning as his normal co-host Holly Willoughby has been missing from the show due to having shingles. Now Holly has thanked Friday's This Morning host Dermot O'Leary for sending her the "sweetest" package.

Posting to her Instagram story, Holly who is still at home recovering, thanked Dermot for his gift and updated her fans on how she was doing. She said: "Thank you @dermotoeary for the chicken soup and salt beef... just what I needed. Feeling so much better. Thank you for all your well wishes" followed by a red love heart emoji.

Holly told her fans on Sunday night that she would be missing from the show this week when she posted a health update to her Instagram. She said: "Hi... Just to let you know I may be away for the rest of the week as I have Shingles. I'll be back as soon as I'm better. Huge love. Holly xxx."

This Morning has seen many different presenters recently as Phillip took three weeks off from the show while his brother Timothy Schofield was convicted in court of 11 sexual offences against an underage boy, including two of sexual activity with a child. On his return to the show Phillip thanked the viewers for their support. He said: "I wanted to say that is it really lovely to be back, I have missed the show, everyone here, and also to you I wanted to say thank you for all your kind messages and support which were really appreciated, thank you very much indeed."
