Holly Willoughby 'swears' as she narrowly misses huge flame on This Morning

Holly Willoughby was left screaming on This Morning on Wednesday, after nearly setting her hair alight - with viewers convinced she'd sworn in another moment just before.

During a cooking segment with chef Jamie Oliver on the ITV show, she was left horrified as she got a little too close to the heat.

Moments before, she'd not managed to stir the food as successfully as she'd hoped with her appearing to shout "s**t".

After stirring some food in a pan, suddenly a huge red flame emerged outwards.

Holly barely had time to move her head which was close to the pan, letting out a big scream.

While Jamie and her co-host Phillip Schofield saw the funny side of the noise she made, she confessed it was a close call.

She said: "You nearly took my head off. Oh my God Jamie..."

As Holly placed a towel over her mouth in shock, Jamie said: "Woaah it's Christmas time folks."

Holly looked pretty scared by the moment, suddenly pulling herself back and shouting out.

She'd been having a go at cooking before Jamie decided to demonstrate, with Holly not moving away in time as he poured brandy in the pan.

Once normality was restored, they got on with the cooking for Christmas food ideas.

Viewers watching at home also noticed how close Holly came to setting her hair alight.

Others were amused after seeing her swearing on air just before the flame drama.

One viewer tweeted: "Holly nearly burst in flames then. Woahhh."

Another agreed: "Holly thinking no one saw her swear."

A third tweeted: "Oooohhhhhh you said a naughty word Holly Willoughby. Don't worry, no-one noticed except me and Phillip Schofield noticed."

This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
