Holly Willoughby supported as she officially makes Instagram return with tradition and namechecks co-host

Holly Willoughby was quickly supported by her loyal followers as she made her official Instagram return for the first time since she was embroiled in Phillip Schofield's scandal. On Monday (June 5), Holly, 42, returned to This Morning for the first time in a fortnight.

It is the first time viewers have seen her on-screen since her long-time co-host and friend Phillip quit the programme before later stepping back from ITV altogether after admitting to lying to Holly and his employers about a relationship with a much younger ITV colleague.

She has also remained quiet on social media after making the decision to extend her planned half-term break by a week following her former co-star and friend's decision to 'step back' from This Morning before his admitted to an 'unwise but not illegal' affair.

She has only posted two short statements to her Instagram Story in that time, with one saying that she felt 'hurt' that she had been lied to but during her return to screens, the mum-of-three addressed the scandal head on in a statement read out live on air.

However, after addressing the elephant in the room, Holly has returned back to some form of normality and kicked off Tuesday (June 6) with her usual pre-show tradition. Fans of the TV beauty are used to seeing her pose for the camera before each show as she teases what's to come and shares her much-wanted outfit details.

The last time Holly refrained from her unusual posting was last year following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. "Morning Tuesday… see you on @thismorning at 10am with @josiegibson85," the mum-of-three typed as she namechecked her co-host Josie Gibson who has stepped in before Craig Doyle joins Holly for the rest of the week.

Holly continued alongside the snap, which showed her smiling for the camera in a gorgeous floral dress: "The wonderful @sarah.beeny joins us today to talk about her incredibly important and personal documentary. #hwstyle dress by @ghostfashion."

This Morning's resident baker Juliet Sear was quick to respond, writing: "GORGEOUS DRESS!!" While friend and All Saints singer Nicole Appleton commented: "Gorgeous."

And fans were also soon sharing their compliments and support for the star. @domandgeri said: "The dress and colours are perfect for you. Love it! Have a good morning with @josiegibson85 and @sarah.beeny." @oldmacdonald01 replied: "Holly you look lovely i hope today is not as nerve wracking as yesterday for you."

@janettepearson added: "You look gorgeous. Ignore the nasty, judgemental comments from people who must have lived a perfect life, never done anything wrong ever. You have far more people who are much much better than them supporting you."
