Holly Willoughby stuns in glitzy purple gown for Dancing on Ice’s second week

Holly Willoughby stunned ITV viewers as she glammed up for the second week of Dancing on Ice on Sunday.

Posing backstage, Holly struck a statuesque pose in the head to toe purple ruched gown, designed by Irena Soprano for Sol Angelann.

The This Morning presenter accessorised the look with Stephen Webster jewellery and a pair of shoes by Stuart Weitzman - which were hidden by her dress.

Holly captioned the photo: “Tonight on @dancingonice 5 new celebrities take to the ice… see you on @ itv at 6:30… back with my @schofe … #hwstyle dress by @sol_angelann jewellery by @stephenwebsterjewellery shoes by @stuartweitzman.”

Her followers were quick to like and comment on the snap, with one person writing: “Omg that dress unreal you look amazing,” alongside a fire emoji.

Another posted: “omg I'm obsessed with this dress!! so excited.”

The 40-year-old mother of three is joined by fellow This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield as the pair return to their hosting duties for the winter sport themed reality contest.

Contestants taking part in Sunday’s instalment of the latest series include The Vamps singer Connor Ball alongside partner Alexandra Schauman, rugby player Ben Foden and pro Robin Johnstone as well as Love Island favourite Liberty Poole and partner Joe Johnson.

The rink will also see turns from dancer Regan Gascoigne and partner Karina Manta as well as Oarylimpian Stef Reid and Andy Buchanan.

While Rachel Stevens was due to appear, her involvement has been thrown into doubt after she suffered a wrist injury on the rink.

The 43-year-old chart topping star fractured her wrist during an accident while training for ITV’s notoriously dangerous and long running contest.

Fans and fellow contestants were distraught that Rachel was due to miss her appearance on Sunday night’s show while she recovered from her injury – with show bosses confirming she would be absent earlier in the week.

But now it seems Rachel’s recovery has been more successful than expected, with the star pictured rehearsing on the ice – meaning she could be on the rink on Sunday night alongside pro partner Brendyn Hatfield.

Last year, the show was won by radio host Sonny Jay, 28, after tough competition against former soap star Faye Brookes, 34, and Olympic athlete Colin Jackson, 54, in the final.

Dancing on Ice returns on Sundays on ITV.
