Holly Willoughby has shared her delight as she finally returned to This Morning.
The presenter, 41, has been missing from her hosting duties on the ITV daytime programme for more than a week after testing positive for coronavirus. Holly had to pull out of Dancing On Ice's semi-final show on March 13 after being struck down with the virus, leaving Phillip Schofield to host the penultimate stage of the skating competition solo.
As for This Morning, Phillip, 59, has been joined by both Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond as Holly isolated at home. He recently gushed about the 'amazing women' he has had the pleasure of working alongside.
But Holly finally got the negative test result she had been waiting for and was able to rejoin her co-host and best pal on Wednesday's edition of This Morning.
Taking to Instagram, normal service resumed as the mum-of-three shared a pre-show look at her outfit. " Morning Wednesday…" Holly said before adding: "Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lovely to be back!!!!!! See you on @thismorning at 10am."
The blonde beauty opted for a light pink, floral dress which just reached her ankles for her big return and paired the spring look with a pair of classic nude heels.
Fans quickly began commenting on the post but there was quite clearly a divide "You've been missed, I'm so glad you're back," fan page @beautywillsxx said.
@pujakarir commented: "Thank god you are back, This Morning was very very very boring without you Holly."
"Welcome back Holly! To say you have been missed would be an understatement," @hollywillslove added.
But @no_drama_just_nails said: "That's me not turning in then." "Well won’t be watching today then," @penfov echoed.
Opening the show on Wednesday (March 23) Phillip said 'hiya' with a huge grin on his face as Holly threw her own hands up and screeched 'Hi'.
"Well, here you are," Phillip said turning to his co-host to which she said: "It's so nice to be back. I actually feel like I've been gone forever."
"So do I," Phillip agreed as Holly went on: "I've watched loads of you, I feel like you've been in my house with me the whole time. It's been so nice to have you there."
Talking about how she was during her time off with Covid, Holly said: "I had 48 hours of feeling really rubbish, just in bed, head on the pillow, headache... all that kind of stuff and then after that you just felt like you had a bit of a cold but fine."
"I'm absolutely fine it's just waiting for that line to go," she added referring to that on a Lateral Flow Test. "Every morning you're like.. it's like the worst advent calendar in the world. 'What will I get today? Argh, a red line again'," Holly laughed.
The pair then cracked on with their busy show but fans were taking to Twitter as they were distracted by her outfit.
