Holly Willoughby has given her take on the explosive 'Wagatha Christie' court case featuring Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy.
The two WAGS are currently battling it out in the Royal Courts of Justice after Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking stories about her to the press.
Rebekah, who is married to Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, denies leaking stories to the media and is suing her fellow footballer’s wife for libel, while Mrs Rooney is defending the claim on the basis her post was "substantially true" and in the public interest.
During Wednesday's episode of This Morning, Holly, 41, and her co-host Phillip Schofield touched on the trial whilst discussing the latest headlines.
Speaking about it with guests Matthew Wright and Marverine Cole, mother-of-three Holly remarked: "Oh it's really sad though isn't it? Because there's the two women who obviously feel like they're in the right and that they have a point to prove and this is not a nice thing for anyone to be going through is it?"
Maverine replied: "I think it's really a baffling decision why they would take this to court. It feels to me like they are not seeing what is happening in the rest of the world and what is happening to normal people."
However, Holly defended Coleen and Rebekah and said: "Yeah but your issues are your own issues aren't they?"
Matthew then said: "It's their dignity really, because I can guess why this ends up in court, having friends allegedly leak details of your private life, that's nasty."
Holly replied: "It is nasty and I imagine if you're going through something like that, what you go through personally, mentally, the torment of all of that."
Matthew continued: "Horrible, horrible, and you then go to court and the victim is put through a hideous experience. Whatever was said in these awful stories, you've then got all this testimony in court which one might say is much worse, much more humiliating, much more embarrassing."
Phillip, 60, then chimed in and finished the conversation by saying: "The only people to benefit here are the lawyers."
Both Rebekah and Coleen's legal teams will make their final statements in court on Thursday 19 May, and the judge will give a written ruling at a later date.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
