Holly Willoughby's Wylde Moon idea came to her during I'm A Celeb hosting stint

Holly Willoughby said the idea to launch lifestyle brand Wylde Moon came to her during her I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! hosting stint.

The mum-of-three kickstarted her spirituality journey while filming the hit ITV show in the Australian jungle back in 2018, when she co-hosted alongside Declan Donnelly.

Viewers will remember Ant McPartlin took a year long break from I’m A Celebrity following his drink-drive car smash that same year, and the TV star took a 12-month break from his presenting duties.

While Down Under, Holly said she discovered spirituality, and said she now enjoys bathing in the glow of the moon, rather than the sun, when she’s on holiday.

“I’ve always been fascinated with the moon, space, shooting stars and looking up,” she said, according to the Daily Star.

“On holiday, I spend more time on the sun lounger at night than during the day. The moon is always there – like the sun– no matter where you are in the world,” Holly explained.

The This Morning presenter, 41, said the moon was “a goddess with incredible feminine energy”.

She launched her wellness platform Wylde Moon in September, and her new spiritual brand - which taps into the power of the moon - also includes Holly’s first-ever podcast, By The Light of the Moon.

Her new project, which has been compared to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop brand, releases a new podcast episode and digital magazine every month to coincide with the full moon.

Holly launched Wylde Moon in September last year, and in a statement, she said she had created the brand as it “filled a need in me”.

“I’d lost a part of who I was and that rediscovery has led me here, to a whole new place of beauty and power,” Holly shared.

The platform is split into seven categories: Women, Moonboard, Podcast, Energy, Beauty, Style and Family, and since the launch, Holly has also released candles, jewellery and perfume under her Wylde Moon brand.

Despite the new direction she’s taking, the TV star said she didn’t care if she was criticised for the spiritual venture, and said she is “not afraid of the reaction to it anymore”.

“If it doesn’t fit with what your thoughts and expectations of me are, well then there’s nothing I can do about it,” she told Grazia magazine.
