Despite taking time away from ITV’s This Morning on an early half-term break, presenter Holly Willoughby remains at the centre of a scandal involving former co-host Phillip Schofield. On Saturday, May 20, Phillip announced that he’d be leaving the flagship programme with immediate effect following reports of a feud between him and Holly.
It has since transpired that prior to coming out as gay in 2020, Phillip had been having a “consensual” relationship with a younger male production runner - something he called “unwise, but not illegal,” read more on that, here. A statement from Holly, 42, stated that when she confronted her former co-star about rumours of a relationship, he denied them.
While Phillip has left the show, Holly has confirmed that she’ll continue to host. Who would you like to see as her new Monday-Thursday co-host? Let us know in the comments below.

Holly, a recognisable face on our screens since the early noughties, is also expected to continue hosting Dancing on Ice - a show Phillip also used to co-host. But who is the presenter married to, what other shows has she worked on and what is her net worth?
Who is Holly Willoughby married to?
Holly married Daniel Baldwin in 2007. The couple share three children together.
The couple’s wedding came three years after they first met in 2004, when they worked together on kids show Ministry of Mayhem. Dan was a producer on the series, while Holly presented the show with Stephen Mulhern.
Holly and Dan would work alongside each other on several other projects including Celebrity Juice and Through the Keyhole. Dan is managing director of independent media company Hungry Bear, which was founded in 2014 and produces shows including Michael's McIntyre's The Wheel and Bradley Walsh's Breaking Dad. The same company will also produce the upcoming Gladiators reboot.
Dan is also the cousin of former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite.
What other shows has Holly Willoughby presented?
Holly has worked on several big shows over the course of her career - with her first presenting credit in 2002. While she does host some shows on the BBC (Freeze the Fear, 2022 and The Voice UK, 2012-2013), she is better known for her collaborations with ITV.
The presenter’s on-screen partnership with Phillip Schofield began in 2006 when the pair hosted the original iteration of Dancing on Ice. Due to other work commitments, Holly quit the show in 2011 and was replaced by Christine Bleakley. The show would be revived in 2018, though, and Holly returned to host.
Aside from working on This Morning - a show she joined in 2009 - Holly has also been involved in the likes of The Xtra Factor, Celebrity Juice, Surprise Surprise and she even stepped in for Ant McPartlin for the 2018 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
What is Holly Willoughby’s net worth?
Holly is believed to be worth around £ 10 million. She reportedly earns 730,000 a year for her work on This Morning.
Alongside her presenting, Holly is also the owner of lifestyle brand Wylde Moon - something she previously described as a "very personal project". The company's Instagram describes the brand as: 'Lifestyle and guidance to help you reconnect with yourself'.
Is Holly Willoughby still friends with Fearne Cotton?
Holly and Fearne entered the TV industry around the same time but in recent years, they have seemingly drifted apart. While Holly hosts This Morning and Dancing On Ice, Fearne has focused on her podcast Happy Place - which recently featured Welsh songstress Charlotte Church as a guest.
Last year it was reported that the pair were taking steps to heal their drifted friendship. "Holly and Fearne are in touch more than ever after rekindling their friendship. They had grown apart over the years as their careers and lives took them in different directions, but now they have so much in common - bonding over juggling motherhood, their careers, and their mental health," an insider told Closer.
"When they got back in touch, they both admitted fault over the fact they had gone so long without checking in with each other, and it quickly felt as though no time had passed at all. They were just as close as they always were," they added. This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX from 10am. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
