Holly Willoughby's bloodbath meeting with ITV hasn't happened yet - but could still be on the cards.
The This Morning star was pictured looking downcast before it emerged that she will return to the sofa with Phillip Schofield on Monday.
The Mirror exclusively reported that Holly was pushing for ITV bosses to begin contract negotiations – as her co-host Phillip Schofield’s future hangs in the balance.
But it seems any change in the hit show's future line-up has been put on ice as ITV has now officially confirmed to the Mirror: "Holly and Phillip will be back on the sofa tomorrow."
Reports of a rift between Holly and Phil have deepened after she was reportedly left ‘blindsided’ after Phil broke ranks to confirm there was friction between the pair.
Holly is now "trying to move things forward" with her employer.
"There has been no bloodbath meeting yet, but that could well be to come," a source told Mirror.
"The sooner it happens, the sooner she can rebrand herself."
Meanwhile, Holly and Phil will be preparing to put a brave face on their latest in a run of controversies in recent months.
Low points include queue skipping to see the late Queen lying in state and Phil taking time away from This Morning while his brother was on trial for sex crimes.
Holly was absent when Phil finally returned to screens and it emerged this weekend that Holly has reportedly cut ties with her longtime TV co-host and close friend.
The Mirror exclusively reported last night that she'd been pushing for ITV to make a decision on Schofield so she can rebrand herself and plan for the future if needs be.
The presenting duo have hosted This Morning together for 14 years but Holly has branched out on her own before.
She stepped in for Ant McPartlin to present I'm A Celebrity with Declan Donnelly in 2018.
Adapting quickly to a new presenting partner, Holly was a star.
At the time Phil seemed proud of Holly for spreading her wings away from their partnership.
And he even revealed they were texting during the live shows from Australia.
"I know she's relaxed. We have a little WhatsApp group and she was silent on the first day. I thought she was a bit nervous," he said on This Morning at the time.
He added: "She was texting during the show last night. She's chilled now."
Ferne McCann, who was presenting the I'm A Celebrity segment on This Morning, asked Phil how he was feeling ahead of Holly's debut.
Phillip said: "We were all on the edge of our seats. 'Hope this is okay'. Gradually we started to think 'yeah she is okay'."
Could it be time for Holly to spread her wings again?
