Holly Willoughby has broken her silence on Instagram as rumours of a feud with her This Morning co-host, Phillip Schofield rumble on.
The presenter, 42, spoke out to commend the Princess of Wales as she made a surprise cameo for the grand finale of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The official Instagram for the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a video of Kate playing the piano in a pre-recorded opening video, which featured last year’s winners, Ukraine ’s Kalush Orchestra.
They captioned the video: “A #Eurovision surprise A pleasure to join Kalush Orchestra in a special performance of last year’s winning @eurovision entry.
“Enjoy the show, Liverpool!"
Commenting under the clip, Holly wrote: "This is incredible."
It is the first time Holly has publicly spoken since the news of a rift between herself and Phillip emerged earlier this week.
Phillip, 61, went on to release a statement, which is said to have left Holly "blindsided" as she had no idea he was going to do so.
Phil told The Sun : "The last few weeks haven't been easy for either of us."
He continued: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We're the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I've been there for her."
Phillip's shock statement came just hours after reports emerged which claimed the former pals are "barely speaking" off-camera at the moment and the pair have "become more distant".
Viewers even noticed the tension between them on a recent episode of This Morning, despite the pair attempting to put on a bubbly charade.
Holly and Phillip have worked together on This Morning since 2006 and have always been known to have shared an extremely close bond.
So close in fact, that they went on holiday together every year with their partners and families, including Holly's husband, Dan Baldwin and their three children, Harry, 14, Belle, 12, and Chester, and Phil's ex-wife, Stephanie.
Holly was a shoulder for Phillip to lean on when he came out as gay in 2020, as he emotionally opened up to her live on This Morning.
He even gave her a special mention in his official statement as he told the world of his sexuality, as he wrote: "My friends are the best, especially Holly, who has been so kind and wise – and who has hugged me as I sobbed on her shoulder.
"At ITV, I couldn’t hope to work with more wonderful, supportive teams."
