Holly Willoughby caused momentary chaos in the This Morning studio as she returned to screens. She was back fronting the ITV daytime show on Thursday (September 15) alongside Phillip Schofield which continued to pay tribute the Queen Elizabeth II, a week on from her death.
This week, Holly and Phil have been discussing the latest news and updates surrounding what happens next following the Queen's 'peaceful' death, aged 96, on September 8. They've also been paying tribute to the late monarch by talking to those who had the pleasure of meeting her.
While the show's have been calm and somber while also sharing a bit of light in sad times, Holly caused a bit of excitement in the studio when she clumsily knocked over some royal memorabilia.
The 41-year-old and Phillip, 60, were joined live in the studio by pawnbroker Dan Hatfield who was able to advice viewers on what royal memorabilia they can invest in amid Her Majesty's passing as people search for items and memorabilia to preserve from this historic time.
They even spoke to Royal super-fan Margaret Tyler (78) will be joining us from her home, which is decorated from floor to ceiling with 12,000 items of royal memorabilia and keepsakes.
But Holly was quick to apologise when she knocked over some gold sovereigns worth hundreds of pounds. "Oh gosh! Sorry, I'm not trashing the place," the mum-of-three said. But just like a comedy sketch, she then knocked something else over which left her and Phil giggling.
A red-faced Holly then said: "I'm just going to step away. I'm not going to touch anything." But it appears the clumsy behaviour is a common occurrence for the pair when they're together as Phillip commented: "What we're actually doing here is a well-known foil of ours."
Some This Morning viewers, however, were divided over the choice of segment. @JillHudson21 tweeted: "The Queen isn’t buried yet and … #thismorning is showing how to make a buck out of her by dragging on a pawn broker!!"
@Dayjur11 remarked: "Now on #ThisMorning, how to make money out of The Queen's death....." @GREY_GAZ echoed: "#thismorning 'How to make money from the Queen' only a week after her death." Others were concerned over the cost of one item. @JenJenivive penned: "Cost of living crisis must be over, because this guy wants me to spend £250 on a teddy bear to remember the Queen #ThisMorning."
