Holly Willoughby looks pretty in pink as she returns to This Morning after Covid

Holly Willoughby finally returned to This Morning on Wednesday after falling ill with coronavirus.

The mother-of-three admitted it was "sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lovely to be back" with her pal Phillip Schofield.

Taking to Instagram, Holly shared the usual snap of her outfit which consisted of a pink midi-length dress by Rixo.

Holly, 41, teamed the floral garment with a pair of nude heels and pink lipstick as she posed backstage.

Her 7.7 million followers were quick to comment on the post, with one person writing: "You've been missed, I'm so glad you're back."

Another person posted: "Pink is definitely your colour," while a third person commented: "Looking Uber fabulous darling."

As Wednesday's show began, Holly was grinning from ear-to-ear as she told Phillip: "It's so nice to be back, I literally feel like I've been gone forever!

"I've watched loads of you, I feel like you've been in my house with me the whole time, it's been so nice to have you there!" she added.

When Phillip asked how she'd felt after testing positive, Holly replied: "Really weird. I had sort of 48 hours of feeling really rubbish, just in bed, head on the pillow, headache, all of that kind of stuff.

"And then after that you just feel like you have a bit of cold, a bit rubbish, but fine. I'm absolutely fine now.

"It's just waiting for that line to go! It's like the worst advent calendar ever!" she joked.

During Tuesday's This Morning, Phillip confirmed that Holly would be returning mid-week after testing negative for Covid.

Joined by Alison Hammond, he said of Holly: "We're pleased to say that... she's negative and she's back tomorrow."

Alison burst into song as she belted out: "Celebrate good times, come on!"

Laughing, Phil quipped: "See you tomorrow!"

Grinning, Alison said: "Cheers, friend."

It comes after Phil explained on Monday's show that Holly kept testing positive with the virus and that it was "driving her crazy".

Opening the show today, he said: "Josie is back! I've been texting Holly all through the weekend and she's absolutely fine. She just has that incredibly persistent and annoying red line that won't go away.

"She'll be sitting at home. It's driving her crazy."

Holly was forced to miss the Dancing On Ice semi-final and the whole of last week's This Morning after testing positive for Covid last Sunday.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
