Holly Willoughby is set to compete against her This Morning replacement at this year’s National Television Awards.
The NTAs will take place later this year, featuring nominees like Ant and Dec, Alison Hammond, and Amanda Holden.
One of the categories to be presented on the night is for TV Presenter, with a longlist of 51 potential nominees.
Among the names on the list include Willoughby, who quit This Morning last October, and Cat Deeley, who officially replaced her on the ITV mid-morning stalwart in March opposite Ben Shephard.
It remains to be seen if either TV star will make the final shortlist for the star-studded awards ceremony.
The final result depends on public voting in 15 categories on the NTAs website before the May 31 deadline at 11pm.
Once the longlist votes are tallied, the shortlist will be announced in August. Then, there will be another round of voting before the winners are announced at the ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, airing on ITV.
In addition to WIlloughby, 43, and Deeley, 47, other presenters on the NTAs longlist include ITV favourites AJ Odudu, Alan Carr, Bradley Walsh, Lorraine Kelly, and Susanna Reid. The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman also appears on it alongside performer Hannah Waddingham, In 2023, Ant and Dec secured the prize for the 22nd year running.
Willoughby quit ITV’s This Morning last October after 14 years in the wake of her former co-host Phillip Schofield’s exit following an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger colleague.
At the time of her departure, the ITV star penned in a statement shared to social media: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.
“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.
“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the best company every day.”
Deeley was announced as the show’s new morning presenter alongside GMB’s Ben Shephard in February.
Since moving on from This Morning, it was revealed that Willoughby will host a celebrity jungle-based reality show named Bear Hunt, alongside star survival expert, Bear Grylls.
Due to be filmed in the South American jungle, it described as a more challenging version of the BBC 's Survivor and will see celebrity contestants pitted against Grylls.
