TV presenter Holly Willoughby has spoken out on friendship, as her fallout with former colleague Phillip Schofield continues.
The mum-of-three has urged her followers to read a book that contains vital advice about friendship and growing up just days on from admitting former BFF Phil 'lied to her'.
Holly returned to This Morning for the first time in two weeks on Monday, opening the show with a monologue that acknowledged Phil's exit and admitting she felt hurt and let down thanks to his 'lies'.
The This Morning presenter today revealed on her Instagram Stories she's currently reading a new book, that she described as "like talking to a friend" from colleague Dr Zoe Williams.
The book titled 'You Grow Girl!' focuses on growing up and the conversations to be had and is written by Dr Zoe, who regularly appears on ITV's This Morning to answer health queries from viewers.
Sharing a snap of the new book on her Instagram, Holly told her followers the book is "insightful" and offers "great advice".
Holly then cryptically added: "Congratulations to @drzoewilliams on the publication of her book for girls...so insightful and full of really important advice... like talking to a friend."
The post comes after Holly made her long awaited return to ITV's This Morning this week following the dramatic exit of her former colleague of 13 years Phillip Schofield.
Holly has remained as a presenter on the ITV show, instead being joined by presenters including Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle to present the daytime programme.
On her return to the show, Holly made a pointed speech to camera that addressed the fallout since news of Phillip's concealed affair with a younger coworker emerged.
Speaking to ITV viewers on Monday's show (5 June), Holly said: "“Firstly, are you OK? It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil.
“And I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have – shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s been going on, and full of questions.
“You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV, and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process.
“And it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone.
“I hope that, as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other."
She added: "And, from my heart, can I just say thank you for all of your kind messages. And thank you for being here this morning.
"Myself, Josie (Gibson), Dermot (O’Leary), Alison (Hammond), Craig (Doyle), and every single person that works on this show will continue to work hard every single day to bring you this show that we love."
Holly was said to be "hurt" when news of Phillip's affair broke, as she revealed in a statement which read: "When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.
"It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."
