Holly Willoughby gets new partner as she gushes over 'special' meeting after 'leaving' Phillip Schofield

Holly Willoughby appears to have found a new partner as she gushed over a 'special moment' on social media after 'leaving' Phillip Scofield on This Morning. The presenting duo were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (May 17) amid claims of a 'rift' behind the scenes.

But when kicking off the mid-week edition of the popular programme, Holly explained that she was having to leave the show earlier as she had a very important royal appointment. The Prince’s Trust ambassador explained that she'd be leaving early as she would be "introducing" the winners of the Prince's Trust Awards, which took place on Tuesday (May 16), to the new King.

The annual event recognises young people who have succeeded against the odds, improved their chances in life and had a positive impact on their local community. Holly told This Morning viewers: "I put my posh dress on today because later on this afternoon I am heading to Buckingham Palace and there the King will be, and we get to introduce the award winners to the King so he can say well done, which is all quite exciting isn’t it?"

Holly, who looked gorgeous in a pale yellow gown, then later made her quick exit. She shared an embrace and a double cheek kiss on the famous sofa before she told Phillip: "Don’t be naughty … and save me a piece of cake," as Juliet Sear was set to appear in the kitchen.

Following the event, Holly was seen full of smiles as she met and spoke to King Charles at Buckingham Palace alongside US actor Stanley Tucci. The TV beauty and the Hollywood star looked relaxed as they chatted to Charles at the special event. After, Holly took to Instagram to share a picture of herself sharing a laugh with King, with the caption: "A very special day… @princestrust."

She shared more snaps to her Instagram Story as she joined the likes of Rylan Clark, Oti Mabuse, Sam Ryder, Geri Horner and Ferne Cotton during the afternoon's event at the iconic royal residence in central London.

And she wasn't quite over the event on Thursday morning (May 18) as she got up bright and early ahead of heading back to work on This Morning for her last stint at the helm of the week. Resharing a post from Stanley, Holly wrote: "So special sharing this moment with you @stanleytucci," before adding a pink love heart.

However, while at the event, Holly appeared to be focused on the job at hand as the Mirror reports that royal reporter Richard Palmer said: "Holly Willoughby was among the showbiz stars meeting the King at a Buckingham Palace reception for The Prince’s Trust today. But the normally talkative This Morning host wouldn’t speak to the media and there was no sign of her co-host Phillip Schofield, also a trust ambassador."
