Holly Willoughby filled with pride as she shares 'lesson' from son amid rare ITV This Morning comments

Holly Willoughby couldn't hide her pride as her son showed her a 'lesson' as she focused on mum duties over the weekend. The This Morning star opened up about one of her two boys, who she didn't mention by name, in her latest message to subscribers of Wylde Moon.

For those who don't know, away from hosting shows such as This Morning and Dancing on Ice, the presenter has her own business, Wylde Moon. She launched the lifestyle brand, which explores topics from "beauty and fashion to energy and healing" but also features its own boutique where Holly has launched perfumes, candles, diffusers, and even a sparkling 12-piece jewellery collection alongside Kirstie Le Marque, back in 2021.

And as part of her business, Holly, 42, sends out weekly newsletters where she sits down and pens a message to her subscribers. In this week's message, the mum-of-three told readers that she's been left 'buzzing' with energy thanks to the arrival of Spring which led her to her sharing a sweet anecdote about her son.

Holly, who is mum to sons Harry and Chester and daughter Belle who she shares with husband Dan Baldwin, said: "Even my son has a spring in his step with his football team winning their league cup last night, which was so exciting. I know everyone says it’s the taking part that counts, and that’s true on many levels, but the magic on their faces and pride you feel when they actually win and realise their dream, is just electric."

She went on to share: "He was so nervous before the game and watching how he overcame that yesterday, is a brilliant example of how our kids can teach us something. When I asked him how he was feeling, he said, 'Mummy I going to be the hardest working boy on the pitch.' And there it was…a lesson in digging deep and facing your fears, even when everything is telling you to run and hide (or in his case, secretly hoping he might be on the bench for the whole game rather than on the pitch where he might let people down).

"From watching him turn his fears into a positive result, I learnt that whilst you can’t control the outcome, you can control your approach and input, and that hard work pays off in the end. Just amazing!"

It comes after she shared more rare comments about her children on This Morning. During Monday’s edition of the ITV daytime show, Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield were joined by regular guests Camilla Tominey and Gyles Brandreth to chat about the latest news headlines, which included news of The Big Help Out.

The app, which has been promoted by Love Island star Faye Winter and Dragons' Den's Deborah Meaden, matches volunteers with opportunities in areas like elderly care, the environment and animal welfare. Gyles shared how people could volunteer much like King Charles, who has been involved in philanthropy for half a century.

It is then when Holly shared: "My eldest Harry, he’s volunteering at the moment because he’s doing his bronze Duke of Edinburgh. It’s the first time he’s done anything like that, and I tell you what, he’s got a real spring in his step. He goes off, he takes himself there, he goes and does his volunteering, he’s always got something to talk about.”

The Dancing on Ice host then added: "As much as they get his time, which is helpful and useful, he’s getting so much back himself, and I can see it in him."
