Holly Willoughby fans have stuck up for her, as trolls bashed her and co-presenter Phillip Schofield ahead of Dancing on Ice's return.
The This Morning presenter, 41, shared a photo on her Instagram of herself and Phillip, at a photoshoot for Dancing on Ice, with the pair wearing their glitzy hosting outfits.
In the snap, Holly wears a stunning strapless glittering and silver Monique Lhuillier gown, with a thigh split, worth £4,000. Meanwhile Phillip looks suave in a black polo neck and cream double breasted blazer.
Holly also shared an official promotional pic of the pair for the competition, with them wearing the same outfits and beaming at the camera.
In a third photo, Holly stares confidently at the camera as she wears her silver gown and matching high heels.
In the caption, the TV presenter simply said that Dancing on Ice was coming soon to ITV and tagged the dress, jewellery and shoes designer, but despite the uncontroversial post, some still took the opportunity to have a go.
One person wrote: "The 2 of them have had their time, I’m bored looking at them and listening to them…"
Another said: "These two still trying to convince us they are liked."
One person simply penned: "Sick of seeing these 2."
Many followers rushed to Holly's defence, with one fan writing: "Don’t understand why people are saying “get new presenters” and “the show has run its time” uhhh ant and dec have had shows for just as long, just don’t watch it maybe???"
A second said: "Why all the negative comments on here, if you don't like him or her or if it's run its cause perfect solution don't watch.. None of us know what is going on behind closed doors."
A third pointed out: "For all these people who don't like them, why are you following Holly Willoughby on Instagram?! [laughing face emoji]"
One passionate fan wrote: "People have no idea what’s going on behind closed doors, what if Holly or Phil were struggling with their mental health? Imagine what some of those comments could do to them…
"Keep scrolling if you don’t have anything nice or supportive to say, and if they bug you that much then unfollow them."
Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse simply posted three love heart emojis in response to Holly's pictures.
Dancing on Ice is set to return to ITV on Sunday, January 15, with Holly and Phil again at the helm.
Among the celebrities taking part are The Wanted star Siva Kaneswaran, singer Michelle Heaton, comedian Darren Harriott, Hollyoaks star Carly Stenson, Joey Essex and TV personality The Vivienne.
Also taking part is Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, footballer John Fashanu and EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer.
The four judges – skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Oti – are back to give their verdicts on their routines each week.
