Holly Willoughby explains 'hoarse voice' as she admits to 'shouting all weekend'

Holly Willoughby was keen to explain her 'hoarse voice' as she presented Monday's episode of This Morning.

The mother-of-three opened the first show of the week alongside Phillip Schofield and was keen to talk about the weekend.

"Hello, good morning and welcome to a new week on This Morning," Holly began.

"Well, we can't start the show without speaking about the amazing Pride march this weekend. Did you have the best time ever?" she then asked Phillip.

"It was amazing, what a lovely atmosphere," the father-of-two explained as footage flashed up on the screen.

"Fifty years of Pride and the team down there... Alison was in her element!" he continued as the This Morning crew were seen marching through central London.

"It was so lovely because everyone lining the streets was sort of fun and having a great time, and everyone was very kind and very smiley," Phillip added.

Explaining her absence, Holly then said: "I was down at my parent's house because it was my dad's 70th birthday party this weekend, which is why I sound a little hoarse because I've been dancing and shouting and singing!"

"Did you have a good time?" Phillip asked her, to which she replied: "I had a brilliant time, more importantly, he had a brilliant time!"

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
