Holly Willoughby 'expects angry email' as she plans to 'lick Phillip Schofield's face'

Holly Willoughby joked she was expecting an '"angry email" from This Morning viewers, after her antics on the ITV show on Wednesday morning.

The TV host was excited to welcome back Phillip Schofield, who had missed a week of hosting the show and Dancing On Ice due to testing positive for Covid.

He is now testing negative and okay to return, telling Holly he was "allegedly bulletproof for 90 days" thanks to the antibodies.

On this confession, she joked she could now "lick his face" before proceeding to touch him and slap his arm, now that they no longer needed to socially distance.

The moment led to them being in hysterics, before Holly quipped it might lead to an angry response from some viewers.

Expecting an "angry email" Holly joked she was working her way up to "licking his face", after a conversation months ago.

Holly opened the show by saying: "Look who's back!"

Phil told her: "You realise I am now fully antibodied up? You could lick my face," with Holly replying: "I know I actually could."

She went on: "I'd be scared someone might come in and pull us apart or something... you're now like, this is it."

He said: "I'm bulletproof for 90 days allegedly," with Holly soon slapping him across the arms.

She then teased: "I'll do that, that's my beginning bit. Let's see if we get a very angry email now. We'll work up to licking."

Phil erupted into giggles, before asking: "How long do you reckon? We should point out ages ago, months ago, Holly said when we can finally sit together I'm going to lick your face."

This Morning host Holly Willoughby jokes viewers would probably be messaging in, as she kept touching her now Covid-free co-host Phillip Schofield (ITV)

Holly told him: "We're still not officially allowed to are we? Not yet, I feel like it's soon, I feel like it's really soon. My leg is actually touching your leg under the table."

The pair were soon laughing again, as Holly asked: "What is happening?"

Phil revealed he'd missed Holly and the show, adding: "I've missed everything! I've cleaned every single cupboard in the kitchen, I've binged on stuff I hadn't been able to watch."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
