Holly Willoughby caught giggling hysterically with new co-host in TV blunder

Holly Willoughby appears to be putting This Morning’s controversies well and truly behind as she was caught giggling hysterically with her new co-host during a TV blunder.

The 42-year-old returned to the programme on Monday after two weeks off following Phillip Schofield's departure and the revelation he’d had an affair with a younger member of staff.

Holly was joined by Josie Gibson, 38, to help present the show for the first two days but she has now been paired up with Craig Doyle, 52.

And it seems as though the change is suiting the mum-of-three, as she was spotted giggling during an unscripted moment of the programme.

Fans were also thrilled with the new partnership, calling on ITV to make the pairing a permanent occurrence.

But it was during an accidental glimpse of behind-the-scenes fun that truly delighted viewers.

After the cameras cut to Josie, who was on a canal boat to launch a new competition, Holly and Craig were overheard chatting about Spam, the processed meat.

The Irish presenter had previously shared his thoughts on the stuff during the segment, saying: "It tastes like cat food, sorry. That's just my opinion not yours, don't worry about that."

The two clearly didn’t realise they were still on air and Holly could be heard giggling as she told Craig to put down a bit of Spam he was holding.

During their exchange the cameras cut back to them briefly, and Craig was spotted standing up, while Holly had a quick stretch.

A fresh face went down well with viewers who were thrilled with today’s presenting pairing and rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One watcher wrote: “Loving Craig on This Morning today with Holly. He’s definitely the No 1 choice for me to present with her."

"Can we have Craig Doyle permanently as Phil’s replacement? He and Holly just work so well together,” added another fan.

Someone else clearly agreed, adding: "Loving Craig Doyle and Holly together. He's so natural. A Keeper!!”

“There’s such a warmth and calmness about Craig Doyle, Holly seems more relaxed with him too. Would not complain if he were to be permanent,” gushed a fourth person.
