Holly Willoughby has broken her silence on Alison Hammond’s National Television Award nod after she missed out on a nomination herself.
The This Morning host took to Instagram on Tuesday to give her reaction to Alison being nominated for a best TV presenter award, alongside TV stars Ant and Dec, Graham Norton and Bradley Walsh. In a show of support to her friend and colleague, 41-year-old Holly posted a video in which Alison can be seen working out in the gym with confetti falling around her.
A caption read: “There is only one @alisonhammond55... Come on babe!!!

"This year is your year... Congratulations... love you!!! #NTA.”
As the only woman nominated for best TV presenter at this years NTAs, 47-year-old Alison will be hoping to knock Ant and Dec off their perch after a 20-year run, having won the award every year since 2001. Despite Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield missing out on their own individual nominations, This Morning is up for best daytime show alongside Loose Women, The Chase and The Repair Shop.
As well as her success on This Morning alongside co-host Dermot O’Leary, Alison is a bookies’ favourite to front ITV’s upcoming Big Brother reboot, which is set to air next year. Alison appeared in the 2002 edition of the reality show, where she was the second housemate to be evicted.
Despite her early exit from the Big Brother house, she has gone on to have great success in the industry having appeared in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing.
