Holly Willoughby baffled Freeze the Fear viewers as her unique fashion sense was likened to Willy Wonka.
The 41-year-old hosts the new BBC show with comedian Lee Mack, as they oversee celebrities - including Gabby Logan, Professor Green and Tamzin Outhwaite - who undertake a series of freezing challenges, inspired by Wim Hof.
However, during one episode of the show, Holly’s unusual accessories irked some viewers, who took to Twitter to voice their confusion over her outfit being inspired by Johnny Depp’s portrayal of the fictional chocolate factory owner.
“Seriously....what am i watching.....Holly's bad impression of a jonny Depp as willy wonka , and people jumping in cold water ...jeeeez #FreezeTheFear,” one tweeted.
“ Holly Willoughby doing Willy Wonka cosplay #FreezeTheFear,” another added.
“Holly channeling Willy Wonka #FreezeTheFear,” one joked.
While a few of her fans were keen to find out where they could purchase the designer frames themselves.
“@hollywills im watchin freeze the fear..and am loving the sun glasses and was wondering were they are from...thank you,” one asked.
Holly previously spoke of how she ended up inspiring TV producer husband Dan Baldwin to make the BBC show, after she discussed with him her newfound enthusiasm for Wim and his practices, prompting him to pitch the idea to BBC bosses..
The Dutch star has become hugely successful thanks to his cold water therapy and ideologies, in which he claims the body - and mind - can be positively impacted by immersing yourself in freezing cold water.
He is supervising and supporting the celebs taking part in the show, and believes his cold treatments can help people with chronic health issues, including depression.
Alfie Boe, Owain Wyn Evans, Patrice Evra, Dianne Buswell and Chelcee Grimes are also taking part in the BBC show, and during the opening episode, they were all required to jump into a hole cut into a frozen lake.
